Scope

This European Standard describes two alternative methods for determiningThe resistance toThermal shock of dense shaped refractory materials by an air quenching method, which proved to giveThe most reliable results when compared withThe behaviour of refractories in furnace linings. Method B can also be applied to unshaped refractory materials.
