Scope
This standard specifies a method for measuring the size spectrum dis ribution of submicron particles in the atmosphere using the electromigration method. This standard is applicable to the determination of the particle size dis ribution of atmospheric particles in the sub-micron range. It can also be referred to for the determination of the particle size spectrum of indoor air particles and particles produced in laboratories. Because the shapes of particles in the actual atmosphere are not all spherical, the particle diameter given by this method is the Stokes diameter.
