Scope: This standard specifies the classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, packaging, transportation and storage of marine port scuttles (hereinafter referred to as port scuttles). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of port scuttles for marine vessels; port scuttles for inland ships can also be used as a reference.
