- This part of GB/T 1251 specifies the physical principles, ergonomic requirements and corresponding test methods for the design of hazard signals in signal receiving areas in public places and working areas, and also provides guidelines for signal design. This section can also be used in other appropriate contexts. Attention should be paid to the distinction and connection between emergency audible signals, emergency evacuation audible signals and warning audible signals. Emergency evacuation signals are described in GB/T 12800 accordingly. This section does not apply to verbal hazard warnings (eg, shouts, loudspeaker announcements, etc.). Speech danger signals are dealt with in ISO 9921 accordingly. Specific regulations such as public disasters and public transportation are not subject to this Part.
