Scope: The purpose of this standard is to facilitate users to choose copiers that meet their respective requirements. This standard specifies the basic content that should be included in the copier specification sheet, so that users can directly compare the performance of different machines. This standard also specifies tests on copiers to verify the parameters given in the specification sheets when no other standard is available. This standard applies to copiers that are operated in an office environment. Copiers that require specially equipped rooms or specially trained operators to operate them are not considered in this standard.
