This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of gamma-ray flaw detectors (hereinafter referred to as gamma flaw detectors). This standard does not specify the measuring and reading system and its requirements of the gamma flaw detector. This standard applies to flaw detector products that use gamma rays emitted by sealed radioactive sources for industrial radiography. This standard does not apply to gamma-ray flaw detectors designed for special purposes.
