Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for wet (non-metallic) friction materials (hereinafter referred to as wet friction materials). This standard is applicable to wet paper-based friction materials with resin as binder and other wet non-metallic-based friction materials, not applicable to powder metallurgy friction materials.
