- Scope
- This part of GB/T 13773 specifies the method of applying the force in the vertical direction to the suture of the seam by using the grab sample method to determine the maximum force of the seam. This section applies to woven fabrics and their products, as well as fabrics produced by other technologies. This section does not apply to elastic woven fabrics, geosynthetics, nonwovens, coated fabrics, glass fiber fabrics, and fabrics produced from carbon fibers and polyolefin flat filaments. Seamed fabrics may be obtained from seamed products or prepared from fabric samples, as required by the product or agreed upon by the parties concerned. This method is only used for straight seams, not for larger curved seams. This method specifies the use of a constant velocity elongation (CRE) tester.
