- Scope
- This International Standard specifies porosity and associated terms as well as the principles relating to porosity testing of metallic coatings and related inorganic layers. The purpose of the pore test is also discussed, which is to support the user in selecting the most suitable test for the respective product and its application. Pore testing cannot be used as a replacement for corrosion testing standards.
