Scope

This part specifies countersunk groove pins with a nominal diameter d₁ of 1.4 mm to 20 mm, made of cold heading steel, and three longitudinal grooves of 120° on the pin surface. The expanded diameter d₂ is formed by the extruded material on each side of the groove, and d₂ is greater than d₁. A non-positive locking fit is formed when the grooved pin is pressed into a bore hole with a diameter equal to the nominal diameter d₁ (see Chapter 4).
