Scope
This Part of GB/T 19436 specifies the general requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) for machinery safety protection. Particular attention should be paid to functional and design requirements to ensure proper safety performance. Electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) including optional safety features, these requirements are given in Annex A. The special requirements for specific types of sensitive functions are given in other parts of GB/T 19436. This standard does not specify the size or structure of the detection area and the layout of the hazards involved in any particular application, nor does it specify what constitutes a hazardous state for any machinery. It is limited to the function of the ESPE and how it is connected to the machinery. This section may be relevant to those applications for non-personal protection, such as: protection of machinery or products from mechanical damage. In these applications, additional requirements may be required, such as materials that must be recognized by sensitive functions, have some characteristics different from humans. This section does not deal with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emission requirements. This standard specifies general requirements for various types of ESPE using different sensitivity methods. Special requirements for specific types of sensitive functions are described in subsequent parts of this standard. See GB/T 19436.2 for the requirements of ESPE using active photoelectric protective devices (such as light curtains). This part deals with the technical suitability of ESPE. The substances and test procedures required for this application may be harmful to human health unless adequate precautions are taken. According to this series of standards, during the use of the equipment involved in this series of standards, the supplier or user will never be exempted from the legal responsibility for safety and personal health.
