Scope

This Guide has been developed with the objective of promoting the industry’s ongoing commitment to providing for the safe working conditions of the ship’s crew, the marine environment and the in recognition of the maritime community efforts, as stake holder, to assist in the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships. The Guide includes information on inventorying hazardous materials on new or existing vessels, conducting verification surveys, issuance of certificates and notations, as well as maintaining the inventory and retaining the Green Passport and Certifications. See Section 1, Figure 1.
