Scope

This standard shall apply only to closed circuit refrigerating systems utilizing ammonia as the refrigerant. This standard was written as a guide to the design, manufacture and installation of closed circuit ammonia refrigerating systems in industrial occupancies and is not intended to supplant existing safety codes.
