Scope

This standard specifies the classification, functional reference model, interface, function, performance, remote and local maintenance and management functions, appearance, power supply and other requirements of asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL/ADSL2+) user equipment. This standard applies to asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL/ADSL2+) user-end equipment in public telecommunications networks. Private telecommunications networks can also be used for reference.
