Scope
This standard specifies the measurement methods for the sound power and ear noise of portable forestry machinery powered by internal combustion engines. This standard applies to portable forestry machinery such as chain saws, brush cutters and lawn mowers. This standard can be used for type inspection of products, and its test results can be used for comparison of the characteristics of different types of machines of the same type. Although the measurement methods specified in this standard are the data obtained under the simulated actual operation of the machine, these data are very close to the real results and represent the characteristics of the actual working condition of the machine.
