- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of maleic anhydride for industrial use. This standard is applicable to the production, inspection and sale of maleic anhydride obtained by catalytic oxidation of benzene or petroleum carbon four fractions as raw materials. The product is mainly used as the raw material of unsaturated polyester resin, paint, pesticide and medicine. Molecular formula: C4H2O3 Relative molecular mass: 98.058 (according to the international relative atomic mass in 2005).
