This part of GB/T 223 specifies the determination of tellurium content in steel and alloys by oscillometric polarography (direct) method and mercapto cotton separation-oscillopolarographic method. The oscillographic polarographic (direct) method in this part is applicable to the determination of tellurium content in pure iron, raw cast iron and low alloy steel with a mass fraction of 0.001% to 0.050%; the mercapto cotton separation-oscillopolarographic method in this part is applicable to raw cast iron. Determination of tellurium content with a mass fraction of 0.00004% to 0.001% in high, medium and low alloy steels and superalloys.
