Scope

This standard specifies the method for dispersing pigments and extender pigments using bead mills. This standard is used in conjunction with the evaluation methods of JIS K 5101-5-1 to JIS K 5101-5-3 using low viscosity, mutually agreed upon binder systems. Also refer to JIS K5101-1-1. This method is limited to low and medium viscosity mill bases in which the grinding beads are free to move (see 7.).
