Scope

This standard specifies the principle, sample, test device, test solution, test conditions and procedures, test result calculation, etc. The galvanized layer mentioned in this standard includes pure zinc layer and zinc alloy layer. Both the gravimetric method and the gas method in this standard are applicable to the determination of the zinc layer quality of galvanized steel wire, but the gravimetric method is used in the referee test. The gravimetric method in this standard is applicable to both hot-dip galvanized steel wire and electro-galvanized steel wire. The gas method is suitable for electro-galvanized steel wire, and hot-dip galvanized steel wire can also be used as a reference.
