- This standard specifies digital television broadcast service information (SI) data, which is an integral part of the digital television broadcast code stream and helps users select business and/or event information from the code stream so that the Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) can Automatically set up available services. The data in the automatic setting part of service information is mainly given by the program specific information (PSI) in GB/T 17975.12000. This standard specifies additional data to supplement the PSI to assist in automatic tuning of the IRD, and specifies additional information to be displayed to the user. The method of displaying this information is not specified in this standard and the IRD manufacturer is free to choose the display method. Electronic Program Guide (EPG) will become an application for digital television transmission. The data contained in the service information specified in this standard can serve as the basis for an electronic program guide. This standard applies to digital television broadcasting services in the radio and television industry.
