- This standard specifies the method overview, test preparation, test procedures, quality assurance and quality control, data and reports for the semi-continuous activated sludge test for the improvement of the inherent biodegradability of chemicals. This standard is suitable for testing water-soluble (DOC mass concentration in water is not less than 20 mg/L), non-volatile, no inhibitory effect on microorganisms at the test concentration, no obvious adsorption on the surface of the test glass container, and not due to Inherent biodegradability of organic matter lost by solution foaming.
