- This standard specifies the classification and model representation method, structure and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of safety joints. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of safety joints used in downhole pipe strings for oil drilling and workover operations.
