1.1 These requirements apply to factory built refractory liners intended for use in fuel-burning heating equipment, such as gas and/or oil-fired boilers, furnaces, and water heaters, to line the combustion chamber or serve as insulating material.
1.2 The combustion chamber liners are intended as a component of the fuel-burning end product
equipment and are subject to the requirements of the applicable end product safety standard.
