Scope

This American National Standard provides the requirements for a lossless compression algorithm to reduce the number of bytes required to represent data. The algorithm is known as the ALDC (Adaptive Lossless Data Compression) algorithm. The ALDC algorithm has been assigned ISO algorithm identifier numbers as follows: History Buffer Size Algorithm id number 512-Byte 3 1024-Byte 4 2048-Byte 5.
