- This standard specifies the minimum unobstructed space provided below the origin of the main roof of the aircraft to accommodate a tripod jack and to provide adequate clearance between the jack and adjacent structures of the aircraft. This standard does not define all jack space dimensions. In the case of critical space, this standard is only used as a reference for design. The final critical space should be determined according to the actual size of the jack used.
