Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for the determination of trace amounts of water in fluoroalkanes for industrial use: Karl Fischer method-volume method, Karl Fischer method-coulometry and electrolysis method. Electrolysis is not suitable for fluoroalkanes with relatively high boiling points. This standard applies to the determination of trace moisture in industrial fluoroalkanes.
