- Scope
- This standard specifies two test methods for determining the overall thickness and cover thickness of steel cord conveyor belts. Method A (thickness technique) is used to determine the total thickness and cover thickness of all steel cord conveyor belts. Method B (optical method) is recommended only for the determination of coating thickness. This law does not apply to wire ropes with fabric or metal transverse members or where the end face of the wire rope is twisted during cutting.
