- This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and labeling, packaging and storage rules for dipped polyester cords (referred to as polyester cords) for V-belt and V-belt cores. This standard applies to general-purpose dipped polyester cords used as core materials for automotive transmission belts and industrial transmission belts, including ordinary V-belts, narrow V-belts, wide V-belts, agricultural machinery V-belts, variable speed belts and multi-V belt products.
