This part of the HG/T 4061 series of standards is one of the standards for magnetic stripes used in making magnetic cards. This part specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels, packaging, storage and transportation of high coercivity magnetic strips used in magnetic cards. The magnitude of the coercive force can affect many of the values specified in this standard, but is not specifically specified. High coercivity magnetic strips are characterized by improved resistance to magnetic smearing. This series of standards provides inspection standards that should be implemented for magnetic strips used in magnetic cards. Any deviation from the specified inspection standards shall be negotiated between the relevant parties. This section applies to magnetic strips used in making ID cards, paper cards, passbooks, etc.
