- Scope
- This standard specifies routine test procedures for checking the performance characteristics of filter elements, and is used to check the hydraulic, mechanical and filtration characteristics of filter elements. This standard is not applicable to the qualification verification of filter elements under special requirements or specific working conditions. If these verifications are to be carried out, a dedicated test procedure needs to be developed, including actual service conditions (eg working fluid). The test procedures specified in this standard are applicable to hydraulic fluids or liquids with similar chemical properties.
