Scope
This standard specifies dental cast gold alloys with a gold content (mass fraction) ≥ 60% and a total content (mass fraction) of gold and platinum group metals (platinum, palladium, iridium, ruthenium and rhodium) ≥ 75% (hereinafter referred to as Cast gold alloy) classification, requirements, test methods and packaging, labels, instructions for use. This standard applies to cast alloys for the production of dental restorations and devices without ceramic veneers.
