Scope

This standard is for AC only, has a protection grade of IPXI or higher against water ingress, has a rated voltage of 250 V or less for 50 Hz or 60 Hz power supplies, has a rated current of I0 A or less, and has two poles for low temperatures. Specifies non-reversible (the polarity cannot be reversed and connected) device couplers. They are intended for connecting power cords to Class II electrical equipment for domestic, commercial and light industrial use.
