Scope: This standard specifies the testing scope, technical requirements and testing methods for large port container lifting machinery (hereinafter referred to as cranes). This standard applies to shore container cranes, rail-mounted container gantry cranes, and tire-type container gantry cranes used for container loading and unloading operations in ports. The inspection of other types of port container cranes can be carried out with reference to this standard.
