Scope: This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of flexible rod couplings (hereinafter referred to as couplings). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of couplings that require angular offset compensation and (or) axial offset compensation for the connected two shafts.
