Scope

This standard specifies the test method for determining the density of solid and semi-solid petroleum asphalt by the pycnometer method. This standard is not applicable to the determination of solid petroleum asphalt with a relative density less than 1.000. This standard does not involve safety regulations related to use, and it is the responsibility of standard users to formulate appropriate safety application regulations before use.
