Scope

This standard specifies the inspection requirements and rules for intergranular corrosion susceptibility of stainless steel pressure vessels. The stainless steel pressure vessels applicable to this standard include stainless steel stationary pressure vessels, stainless steel heat exchangers, stainless steel cylinders, stainless steel movable pressure vessels and stainless steel pressure piping, etc. Stainless steel atmospheric pressure vessels and other stainless steel mechanical equipment can also be used by reference (hereinafter, "pressure vessel" is sometimes referred to as "vessel" for short). The stainless steel for manufacturing pressure vessels applicable to this standard refers to acid-resistant steel with a chromium content of not less than 16%, including austenitic stainless steel, ferritic stainless steel and austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel, but excluding martensite Stainless steel and precipitation hardening stainless steel. It includes not only pressure-processed stainless steel and its welded joints, but also stainless cast steel and surfacing. This standard not only stipulates the inspection requirements for intergranular corrosion sensitivity of stainless steel pressure vessels, but also specifies the corresponding inspection requirements for stainless steel raw materials, welding materials and external parts used in the manufacture of stainless steel pressure vessels. The intergranular corrosion involved in this standard refers to the intergranular corrosion in the sensitized state, excluding the intergranular corrosion in the non-sensitized state.
