It establishes, referring to UNI 7475 (machine tools. Testing methods), the geometric controls and work tests of internal grinding machines with horizontal grinding spindle with or without grinding head for facing, as well as the corresponding tolerances. It deals only with checking the accuracy of the machine. It does not concern either the examination of the functioning of the machine (vibrations, abnormal noises, hard points in the movement of parts, etc.), nor that of its characteristics (speed, advancements referred to in UNI 4551), nor that of the dimensional characteristics, examinations which must, as a rule, precede that provided for in this standard.
