The tensile test has the purpose of determining the breaking strength and elongation at break of a paper or cardboard. The load application speed envisaged in this standardization is low, so the test is not dynamic. The test is carried out with lever dynamometers or with dynamometers with constant increase in elongation or load, on test pieces taken in the machine direction and in the transverse direction.
