This standard describes a method for determining the color fastness on textiles, of any nature and in all their transformation phases, to the action of a typical rubber mix similar to that used in the gumming process, and to the action of decomposition products that are released from it during vulcanization with saturated steam 2>. Two types of tests can be carried out:
——under the condition that the saturated steam cannot come into contact with the textile to be examined (method A);
——in the condition that allows the saturated vapor to penetrate the textile to be examined (method B).
