This standard concerns finished steel products (see 2.1) forged (see 2.3) solid, having a maximum finished diameter less than or equal to 250 mm1) or similar cross section, and hollow forged products having a maximum finished thickness less than or equal to 250 mm1), intended for the construction of pressure vessels. Note - The term "forged products" in the sense of this standard includes flanges, fittings, covers, ferrules, stubs, bottoms and, in general, parts of elements or complete containers intended to contain a gas or liquid under pressure. 2 It can also be applied to forged products not subjected to pressure and intended for use at low or high temperatures.
