This unification indicates the procedure for determining the quantity of water absorbed by a printed test tube after immersing it in boiling water for a specific time. If it is deemed useful to take into account the quantity of water-soluble substances contained in the test tube, an appropriate adaptation of the method is envisaged. This method applies to all types of plastic materials, except those that soften at a temperature of 100 °C and completely lose their shape. The method is particularly suitable for aminoplasts.
