This standard establishes the rules and graphic signs for the representation in technical drawings of grooved couplings and toothed couplings. Two representation systems are indicated: a) complete representation; b) simplified representation. The rules and graphic signs indicated in this standard are applicable both to the drawings of individual elements (shafts and hubs) and to the overall drawings of grooved couplings and toothed couplings. Note — All figures in this standard are according to the first dihedral projection method. It is intended that the established principles apply equally to the third dihedral projection method.
