The summaries referred to in this rule have the following purposes. 1 Allow the reader directly interested in the topic to decide whether to read the original article. 2 Give the reader who is only marginally interested in the topic information on the content of the original article, avoiding reading it. 3 Facilitate and speed up the work of summary journals and in general of those who reproduce abstracts, allowing the summary that accompanies the original article to be used directly.
