This standard concerns the construction and functional characteristics relevant for the purposes of radiation protection in fixed, mobile and portable industrial gammagraphy equipment (see 2), of category I and II (see 3), which use sealed radioactive sources. This standard does not concern devices that operate by extracting sources without remote control devices. This standard does not concern the operating and use conditions of industrial gammagraphy equipment, for which reference is made to the provisions in force for nuclear safety and protection; nor does it concern the provisions for the transport of radioactive materials contained in the devices.
