This unification establishes the procedure for determining the resistance of technical-scientific and sanitary glassware to thermal shocks caused by temperature variations equal to or greater than 100 °C. The thermal difference is given by the difference between the highest temperature t1 at which the article is heated and the lowest temperature t2 of the cold water of the bath in which the article itself is subsequently immersed.
