UNI 4273-1959 Plastic material testing. Hot hard materials. Determination of the percentage of soluble substances in acrylic copper contained in phenolic materials for stamping
This unification indicates the procedure for determining the percentage of substances that can be extracted by acetone at a temperature close to its boiling point from a sample of phenolic molding material. The extraction process is carried out under specific conditions and for a specific time. The results have only comparative value because the extracted material contains, in addition to the resin, other substances, which are normally found in a molding powder, for example lubricants, dyes, plasticizers, etc.
