This standard establishes, by referring to UNI 7475 "Machine tools - Testing methods", the geometric checks and work tests of horizontal milling machines with a fixed bench) as well as the tolerances corresponding to machines of general use and of normal precision. This standard deals only with checking the accuracy of the machine. It does not concern either the examination of the functioning of the machine (vibrations, abnormal noises, hard points in the movement of parts, etc.), nor that of its characteristics (speed, advancements referred to in UNI 4551), nor that of the dimensional characteristics, tests which must, as a rule, precede those provided for in this standard.
