This standard concerns the characteristics of individual direct reading condenser exposure meters, for X and/or gamma radiation, with hermetically sealed sensitive volume, operating in the energy range from 30 keV to 3 MeV or part of it. Exposure meters for use in mixed fields of ionizing radiation, for example gamma-neutron fields, are excluded. The verification of the compliance of exposure meters with this standard will be the subject of a specific UNI standard soon to be published1'.
