This standard concerns the criteria and methods for the classification and characterization of individual photographic dosimeters. For brevity in the remainder of this standard these dosimeters will be indicated with DFI. Its application is limited to DFIs intended to be worn on the chest or other parts of the body and used for the determination of exposure due to X-ray and/or 7-energy radiation in the range from 20 keV to 3 MeV. It does not apply to DFIs equipped with fluorescent reinforcement screens nor to those for radiation )3, thermal neutrons, fast neutrons and pulsed radiation (for example accelerators), for which reference is made to the relevant UNI standards.
