It applies to water heating systems for powers of no less than 150,000 kcal/h (175 kw); it also applies to systems with a power lower than 150,000 kcal/h (175 kw), when the non-compliance of the system requires a check, in the event of disputes and, in any case, if its applicability is foreseen by the client. The object of the standard is the prescriptions of the methods to be observed for the request for the offer, the preparation of the offer project and the execution of the testing of said systems. Topics of the standard are: classification of the various types of hot water heating systems; indication of the values that it is advisable for the various quantities (temperature, flow rate, etc.) affecting the aforementioned systems to assume; indication of the specifications that must be contained in the presentation of the project offer; determination of the quantities that must be measured during testing and the related tolerances; indication of the methods that must be carried out to measure the quantities themselves; indication of the requirements and methods of use of the instruments to be used for the measurements.
